Cedar Waxwings

 We set up camp on Antelope Island in the State Park.  There are 3 campgrounds on the island. We are in Bridger Bay Campground.
  After we had dinner we went out to take a drive around the island and were surprised to see a bison in the campground.  I also took the picture of the timber wolf from our site.

Lava Hot Springs, ID

This morning we left Yellowstone and headed south.  Looking for warmer weather.
The drive was nice.
We found a campground in Lava Hot Springs, ID.  It's a small town built around a hot spring.  The campground is next to a small stream.
Tomorrow we will travel on to Utah.

Day 2 at Yellowstone

After a rainy night and a cool morning the day turned into a beautiful and sunny one.
We stopped at the information station and me up with a friend of Amy & Dan's who volunteers here.  He helped us plan our day so that we could see the most. 
  We drove about 120 miles from Madison to Norris, to Canyon Village, to Tower-Roosevelt, to Mammoth, back to Norris and Madison.  Here are some of the pictures I took along the way.

What can I say?  We saw a lot of Bison!

Yellowstone

  We arrived in Yellowstone National Park on Friday.  The drive in was great.  We checked in and got set up in site at the Madison Campground not far from the West Enterance.  The campgrounds are very old.  Sites are very small, but if you call ahead they will pick a site that will handle your size.  It took us 2 tries to get in our "pull-throu" so that we could open both slides.  We have watched others take a lot more attemps. 

Today we packed a lunch and spent the day seeing the sights.  We got to see all the geyser areas and Yellowstone Lake.
